Creating Influence

Growing Grassroots All-Stars at Advocacy-Focused Chapter Meeting

On February 13th the Chattahoochee Valley Chapter held an advocacy-focused meeting for staff and board on state and national politics, and how both the politics and the issues being debated affect credit unions and the members they serve. A significant factor in advocacy success is the strength of credit unions’ grassroots influence, and understanding the issues that impact the industry is key in growing that influence.

Our thanks to the Chattahoochee Valley area credit unions for requesting this topic, and for kicking off their first chapter meeting of 2018 with how to grow credit union advocacy and influence. This is the second chapter to do so in 2018 (Augusta held one in January), and there are two more chapters holding similar meetings on the horizon (Coastal Empire Chapter and Mountain Empire Chapter). If you would like something similar to happen at your area chapter meeting, please let us know!
