Creating Influence

Georgia Credit Unions Hike the Hill in September

It’s time to Hike the Hill! Georgia credit unions will meet with members of Congress in Washington, D.C., this September to talk about the issues important to the industry. This year’s Hike follows the strong work of previous years’ Hikes, as reaching out to the federal legislators as an industry is necessary to help educate them on credit unions and the impact various bills have on how they operate. With Congress passing regulatory relief for financial institutions earlier this year, these visits are instrumental in not only expressing thanks, but ensuring that the credit union perspective is shared on all the various issues that are swirling in Washington, D.C., that impact how you serve your members today and in the future.

Make plans to join in; the meeting is from September 12th through the 14th and there is no registration fee to attend. For more details please click here, and if you are interested in attending please contact Cindy Connelly (cindyc@gcua.org) or Becky Moore (beckym@gcua.org) today, as space is limited.
