Did you know that during this state session, thousands of bills will likely be introduced? All of these are reviewed for potential impact to credit unions (both positive and negative), and out of the thousands there will likely be hundreds that are actively monitored, lobbied, and addressed for credit unions. Sound unlikely? As of the seventh day of the session there are already 55 bills that will require this active lobbying effort, with many more to come.
You will see highlights of the activity in Creating Influence each week, however one can see all the issues as the number grows through the credit union legislative tracking tool, which has the bills, whereabouts, and current legislative actions on all bills being addressed for credit unions. And this changes each day of the session which is rumored to go through part of April already. Stay tuned!
